rachel amber for all intents and purposes has become an original character of my own creation. i have been writing her consistently since 2015 / 2016 and in that time, she has undergone character development and i have been making changes and tweaks to her story as a whole to make her well and truly my own. in addition to that, the life is strange fandom within the roleplay community is small, and so i have had to tailor and place her within different fandoms. all of this, i have worked really, really hard to do. with that said —

please do not take inspiration or worse, steal any portion of rachel's backstory, any headcanons / metas, etc. AND APPLY IT TO YOUR OWN PORTRAYAL.

although rachel is largely written as an original character, i do incorporate bits and pieces of life is strange, life is strange: before the storm and the comic series into my portrayal, and i find inspiration in characters found in different pieces of media.

exclusive and mains are usually reserved for muses rachel regularly interacts with and for muns i have talked to a couple of times before, if not everyday. if at any time you're interested in becoming either exclusives or mains with me though, don't hesitate to let me know and we can discuss it. ♡

although i'm more than willing to plot interactions and storylines out, i have found that because of the type of person that rachel is, non-plotted interactions and storylines (aka, winging things) works best for her and i, as expecting her to follow a path of any sort makes her withdraw and my muse for her takes a hit. besides that, i'm absolutely terrible at coming up with ideas for storylines and such. still, if you have an idea for a storyline / etc. at any point, i'm happy to hear it and try to see if we can make it work.

every sort of ship is not only welcomed here but encouraged! no matter if it's familial ships, platonic ships, romantic ships, each and every one of them are appreciated so much, so if you find yourself with an idea for a ship involving my muse and yours, please don't hesitate to message me so we can discuss it, or to send in a prompt or a few so we can test their chemistry with one another. i promise that doing either or will never bother me.i will say though, as much as i love romantically shipping rachel with other muses, she can be a difficult muse to ship romantically with for a handful of reasons.in short: on top of having reservations regarding relationships, rachel lacks decent communication skills and healthy coping mechanisms and will lash out and sabotage relationships. sometimes because she was triggered in one way or another, most of the time for no reason at all. your muse will not be safe from this simply because they are shipped with her. if anything, the people that she is romantically involved with have to endure the most until she feels safe with them and in their relationship.

life is strange and life is strange: before the storm (which are the only ones i'm mentioning because they're the only games out of the handful there are that truly feature rachel) is a game which feature mature and potentially triggering themes and topics such as abuse, alcohol and drug dependency, kidnapping, manipulation, death, suicide and suicidial ideation, and violence. while i do tag the heavier, more triggering topics out of these, i do not tag anything relating to alcohol or drugs.it is because of the heavier topics of the above that i say again: please follow, interact, and scroll through my blog with caution because the brunt of them are interweaved into rachel's story and will come up from time to time.if something comes up that you need tagged and i haven't tagged it, please don't hesitate to let me know either through direct messages or my inbox and i will go back and tag whatever it is as soon as i can. i want to keep everyone comfortable and safe, so this is never an issue for me. ♡
